Education Emergency Situations by RADCI in Somalia ensure uninterrupted and secure access to school.
RADCI projects focus on disadvantaged, orphaned, and disabled girls. Working in primary and secondary, TVET (Technical Vocational Education Training), and family life education facilities,
Conflicts, natural disasters, and pandemics hinder millions of children from attending school, leaving them alone in desperate circumstances with an uncertain future.
RADCI is dedicated to delivering education initiatives in humanitarian settings, benefiting thousands of refugee children as well as IDPs and residents.
Key Activities:
- Supporting and capacity building of teachers and school principals.
- Strengthen and expand primary and secondary school education services.
- Providing school supplies, and constructing temporary schools out of containers or tents.
- Implementing formal and informal education interventions to safeguard children from abuse, violence, and human rights violations.
- Vocational skills training.
- Distributing school supplies like uniforms, solar lamps, and sanitary kits.
- Learning and teaching resources for teachers and community education committees.
- Providing more inclusive education for marginalized people like internally displaced people, pastoralists, and children with special education needs.
